1. The flow restrictor should be changed every time the reverse osmosis membrane is changed
2. Be sure that you order the flow restrictor ML size to match your reverse osmosis membrane GPD. They must match to operate at the correct efficiency. For the 500 ML flow restrictor, the RO Membrane must be 50 Gallons Per Day
3. These are inline capillary systems that install into the drain tube itself. Just cut the 1/4-inch drain tube and push the two ends of the tube into the flow restrictor
4. If an inline flow restrictor is already installed, remove the old inline flow restrictor and insert the new inline flow restrictor.
Reverse Osmosis Flow Restrictor Capillary Tube Insert (1) Insert RO Membrane Capillary Flow Restrictor, insert flow restrictor, easily inserts into 1/4″ OD tubing located on the reverse osmosis membrane drain line. Many RO units have small insert style flow restrictors that are inserted into the 1/8″ X 1/4″ elbow that connects the drain tube to the membrane vessel. Compatible with quick-connect and compression fittings, the insert flow restrictor is Green and used with 50 GPD RO Membranes. The capillary (internal) flow controls work as brine water flow is restricted by forcing it through a thin capillary tube inside the regular 1/4″ drain tubing. In order to perform correctly, the insert flow reactor must be situated correctly.
Installation and Testing
· Fittings and tubing installations should be inspected by pushing and pulling on the connection points and be pressure-tested prior putting into service
· Fittings should not be exposed to excessive side loads and caution should be taken to prevent undue stress and excessive side loading
